How do I get to the venue?

Can I bring my own food or drink?

Soft drinks in plastic bottles or cartons may be brought in to the theatre, but not glass bottles. However any alcohol purchased off the premises will not be permitted.

Beverages and food items purchased outside of the theatre are not permitted. Hot food is strictly prohibited and must be disposed of prior to entering the foyer.

Is there a cloakroom?

We have a large cloakroom that can be used by all patrons free of charge. To respect performers and fellow patrons, we request that bags bigger than an A4 piece of paper (21cm x 30cm) are checked into the cloakroom. These items are all subject to being searched and can only be stored in the building during the performance times.

Can I check a suitcase into the cloakroom?

Yes you can, but please be aware that it will be searched before placing it in the cloakroom

Where can I find Lost Property?

All lost property found in the theatre will be taken to the stage door at the end of each day. If you wish to speak to stage door regarding a lost item, please call our Box Office team on 0330 333 5961 and they can put you through.

Do you operate security checks?

Security checks are in operation at our theatre for your safety. Please allow extra time for entrance. Beverages and food items purchased outside of the theatre are not permitted inside. Sealed bottles of water will be allowed. Please inform us of any special dietary requirements before your visit or speak to the Theatre Management on arrival at the theatre. What can’t I bring in to the theatre?

We do not allow items that could be considered as dangerous into the theatre. This can include (but is not exclusive to) knives, sticks / batons, heavy or sharp items, glass, flowers, laser pointers, chemicals, aerosols, sports bats or clubs. If found during security checks these items will be confiscated. As mentioned above, beverages and food items purchased outside of the theatre are also not permitted inside our theatre. Sealed bottles of water will be allowed, provided they’re not in glass bottles. Please inform us of any special dietary requirements before your visit or speak to the Theatre Management on arrival at the theatre.

Is there a bar?

We have a ground floor bar, which is open 1 hour and 30 minutes before show times as well as bars on each level of the theatre which open roughly 45 minutes before each performance. Bars will be open during intervals, and the ground floor bar will remain open after performances finish. Our bars stock light snacks such as crisps, sweets and chocolate, but no hot food.

When is your bar open?

Our buzzy ground floor bar will be open 90minutes before the performance, serving a range of beers, wines, cocktails, mocktails, rums and gins.

Can I park my car?

If you’re driving into the West End to see a show, take advantage of Q-Park’s Theatreland Parking Scheme. Save 50% off parking with Q-Park (after 12pm and for up to 4 hours). Customers must book parking in advance here.

Is the theatre air-conditioned?

@sohoplace is fully air-conditioned.

What time should I arrive for a show?

The performance starts promptly at the advertised time on your ticket and the doors open approximately 45 minutes before the performance time. We advise being seated in the auditorium around 10 minutes before the start time where possible.

What if I am late to the show?

Latecomers may be admitted to the auditorium when a suitable break in the performance occurs but admission cannot always be guaranteed. You may be given an alternative seat due to the intimacy of the auditorium

Can I exchange my ticket or get a refund?

Tickets cannot be refunded. Our friendly team can help you re-arrange your visit if you are unable to attend. To request an exchange please contact our Box Office team on 0330 333 5961 or email info@sohoplace.org. Exchange requests can only be processed up to 48 hours prior to the performance.

I’m having issues booking via the website

What if my tickets haven’t arrived?

You will receive a pre-show email at least 48 hours before the performance with your tickets and more information about your upcoming visit. If you do not receive the email or tickets please go to the @sohoplace Box Office on the day of the performance for assistance.

Do you have groups / school rates?

Most productions have a groups and/or education rate which will appear on the individual show pages. For standard groups or education groups please call 0330 333 4817 or email groups@nimaxtheatres.com and our Groups & Education team will be happy to help you.

Can I use Theatre Tokens to pay for my tickets?

@sohoplace accepts Theatre Tokens which can be used in person at the Box Office or over the phone on 0330 333 5961. For Terms & Conditions or to buy Theatre Tokens, visit the SOLT Theatre Tokens website: https://www.theatretokens.com/

Do your shows have age limits?

Some shows do have specific age restrictions due to content. The age recommendations vary in each production and are available to view on the specific show pages. A valid ticket is required for all persons attending the theatre, regardless of their age. For all productions, children under the age of 15 are required to be accompanied by a responsible adult in seats adjacent to each other. Are concessions available?

Concessions can vary from show to show. Please contact our Box Office team to discuss any available concession ticket on 0330 333 5961 or at info@sohoplace.org. Please note, some concession tickets are only available to purchase at the @sohoplace Box Office on the day of the show and are subject to availability.

What is a day seat?

Day seats are a limited number of tickets held for each performance which are only available to purchase on the day of the show from the @sohoplace Box Office or via an authorised third party ticket seller. Usually each customer is limited to 2 tickets and these are available on a first come, first served basis. Due to popular demand day tickets are not available to buy online or over the phone, and may not be available for all shows. For information specific to the show you want to see, visit the show page on the @sohoplace website, or contact us on info@sohoplace.org.

Is there a booking fee?

All of our prices are inclusive of VAT and include a sustainability levy and (where applicable) a booking fee. This will be made clear at the time of booking.

Can I resell my tickets?

Tickets may be returned to the @sohoplace Box Office for resale, provided they were not booked via a third party, for resale 24 hours prior to the performance up until the performance time. We can only place returned tickets on sale after all other tickets for that performance have been sold. Resales are not guaranteed, and you will only receive a full refund if and when the ticket is resold. How can I get tickets if the show is sold-out?

If we receive any returns for a sold-out performance, we will make them available online to purchase. If any tickets are returned during the incoming of a performance, these will be offered to the returns queue at the theatre on a first-come, first-served basis.

Can I meet the cast?

It may be possible to meet the cast of a show after the performance at our Stage Door, which is at the back of the theatre, on Goslett Yard. This is not a guarantee.

Do you offer special access seats/rates?

Do you provide accessible performances?

Many of our shows offer access performances; audio described, captioned, relaxed/autism friendly and BSL signed performances. How do I book access tickets?

@sohoplace we hold a selection of seats for the specific needs of access patrons, subject to availability. Contact our Box Office team at access@sohoplace.org or on 0330 333 5962, and our team will be happy to discuss the options available to make each patrons visit as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Details on our access offering including wheelchair access and hearing systems for the theatres can also be found on the accessibility page.

How do I find out about venue accessibility?

@sohoplace has step free access to all levels of the Theatre via lift access, and all levels of the Theatre have step free seating available. A unisex adaptable toilet is available on each level of the theatre. Where is the nearest disabled parking?

Free disabled street parking is available around London on a first-come first-served basis and cannot be reserved. You can view disabled parking spaces by visiting parkingforbluebadges.com. Disabled parking spaces are also available at Q-Park parking facilities. You can save up to 50% off parking with Q-Park (after 12pm and for up to 4 hours) which must be booked in advance by clicking here.

Do you have a hearing assistance system?

Yes, the theatre is fitted with a Senheisser FM system with 20 headsets and 10 body packs and neck loops available. Headsets, body packs and neck loops are available from our front of house team, on a first-come first-served basis. Alternatively patrons with a Cochlear implant or BAHA can plug their own audio cable directly into our body pack. Our body packs have a 3.5mm jack output.

Can I bring an assistance animal?

Guide dogs and hearing dogs are welcome. For comfort we recommend purchasing a seat on the end of a row. Alternatively we provide a dog sitting service for 2 dogs at a time. We ask that you make us aware if you’re bringing a guide dog at the time of making your booking, by emailing our team at access@sohoplace.org or on 0330 333 5962.

Can I hire your Auditorium space?

Yes, our Auditorium is available to hire for daytime events throughout the week, and evening events on non-performance days. Please speak to our events team to enquire at events@sohoplace.org or call us on 020 3840 9668.

Can I hire the Studio space?

Yes, we hire out our Studio space for a variety of events. Please speak to our events team to enquire at events@sohoplace.org or call us on 020 3840 9668.

Do you have a bar space to hire for events?

Can I bring in my own caterers for an event I have booked?

We work exclusively with a number of approved catering partners, currently: EasyGourmet; Social Pantry and Clement Worrall. We also provide a full bar and limited food service in-house. Can I buy show merchandise online?

You can purchase show merchandise from the merchandise stands in the building. This may vary depending upon the production, please ask the venue Management team if you have any questions about merchandise.

Do I need to wear a mask?

You are welcome to wear a face covering when inside the theatre if you wish.

Can I have a donation for my charity/raffle/auction?

Sorry. Due to the volume of such requests, this isn’t something we’re able to offer at this time.
